As I was reading in James 2 and a very vivid painful thought of something that took place in my life appeared in my mind. Thinking back to this time and sharing it may help a whole lot of you today. Especially those of you that are in training for Gods Kingdom work in ministry.
A friend told me a of a situation that I got caught in the middle of. Till this day my conviction is to never listen to something that is considered a secret. Or to be a listener to one who is constantly in some sort of trouble and must tell you all about their confused circumstances and never seem to get better because they don't pray but "just want to keep talking about it"
I got caught in this sort of mess innocently many years ago as a young believer just trying to be "kind" rather to be thought of as rude or not caring. Praying daily about these things the Lord reminded me of these scriptures that would help me weed out the serious believers from "long winded" immature talkers stealing your time and anointing..
Gods answer is to help the multitude of seriously hurting people "Shelter, a blanket, food"? Fill the emergency needs as well as "Praying" getting right into prayer instantly changes things by inviting "The Most high God" "Our counselor" the "Holy Spirit". to see into the heart of the matter which can straighten out any "Social Christian who is way too idle" Looking for someone to listen to their problems rather than a real solution through prayer.
In the parable of the "Good Samaritan" Many people stepped around the beaten man on the wayside until the "Good Samaritan" physically helped him by placing his hurting body on his own donkey finding him lodging and the care he needed till he returned. You can read this in Luke10:30 Going further to verse 34 it reads with mercy and compassion he went to him bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine. The wine in those days was used for disinfecting and the oil soothed and promoted healing.
Also in James 2; 15-17
If a brother or sister is naked or destitute of daily food, and one of you say unto them Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; not withstanding "ye give them not " those things that are needful to the body, what doth it profit?
17: Even though faith if it hath not works it is dead, being alone.
In other words we must look for a way to help. You may be Gods hand extended for them personally. It's very important to realize that "Faith" is an action. Yes even "believing" is an action or our faith is dead.
I have also learned as a "Training for Reigning Minister" to be careful for those who love to talk but rarely desire to pray. This a sure sign they aren't interested in answers just want to spend their time talking and gossiping! or living in their addictive lifestyle desiring pity not real spiritual help from others. Which in these cases need continual prayer till these "demonic walls" can be broken down in the Spirit realm over their life..
Remember always James 2:17 "Faith without works is dead" Always be reminded to "Pray" asking the Lord Jesus " what should I do " then do it! Sometimes it's to simply pray and other times it's to be willing to do something that will make a lasting difference in their life like money, clothes or food, than pray as well.
Be Greatly Blessed today as you meditate and pray about these things in your life and Gods "Holy Spirit" will speak to your heart by guiding and leading you as you" sincerely pray" to be used of God..!
